Custom T-Shirts in Los Angeles: How to Choose the Right Print Method

If you’re ordering custom shirts for a business, school, church, or event, the print method matters. Here’s a simple guide to help you pick the best option for your design, budget, and timeline—based on what we produce at JKD Clothing (JayzKrafts&Designs) in Montebello, CA.

1) DTF Transfers (great for full-color + fast turnaround)

  • Best for: detailed logos, gradients, photos, and small text.

  • Pros: vibrant color, works on many fabrics, quick production.

  • Good to know: we can provide transfers only, or press them onto garments for you.

2) Vinyl (clean, bold, and durable)

  • Best for: names/numbers, simple logos, and 1–3 color designs.

  • Pros: crisp edges, strong durability, great for uniforms and teams.

3) Screen Print (best value for larger quantities)

  • Best for: bulk orders with simple artwork.

  • Pros: cost-effective at higher quantities, classic look.

Quick checklist before you order

  1. How many shirts do you need (and by when)?

  2. Is your design full-color or simple spot colors?

  3. Do you have vector artwork (AI/EPS/SVG) or a high-res PNG?

  4. What garment type are you using (cotton, poly blend, hoodies, hats)?

Want a quick recommendation? Send your design + quantity + deadline and we’ll suggest the best print method and quote options.
